1925-28 Hillerich & Bradsby Lew Fonseca Game Used Bat

Description

Lew Fonseca Hillerich & Bradsby signature model bat shows excellent use. Several ball marks with some grain disruption are visible on the left/back barrel surfaces. A few cleat marks are also present. There is a split in the left barrel and a one inch long indent of unknown origin on the back barrel. No tape application, ghosting, or residue from removal. No gripping substances present. Bat is not cracked. No markings on either end. Some staining on the barrel end.

Bat was acquired from Eldridge, Iowa, approximately 70 miles east of Ely, Iowa, where Fonseca passed away in 1989.
