Description
Adirondack model 270X shows moderate use with some defects. The barrel sides, mainly the left, right, and back hitting surfaces do show several ball marks and lightly visible seam impressions. A few cleat marks are also present. Unfortunately it appears there are a few rock marks on the left barrel and another on the back. The bat also has significant flaking and finish wear throughout. There is also some scattered white paint spotting over a decent portion of the bat. The handle has a moderate coat of vintage pine tar and it is cracked with no pieces missing. Residue from a previously removed spiral tape job is still present. Rice’s #14 is written on the knob in fading black marker. The model number (270X) is stamped. Nothing is written on the barrel end. Rice has signed the sweet spot in black marker.
Very tough rookie era Adirondack (seldom seen from the 1970s) with some unfortunate condition issues.
