Hillerich & Bradsby model P89 was used by John Milner in 1978 or 1979. Bat shows excellent use. Many ball marks and seam impressions are visible on the right and left barrel surfaces. Heaviest use is concentrated on the right barrel where there is slight swelling from repeated contact. The handle shows ghosting along the majority of the handle from a now removed tape application. Minor crack (2″ in length) spiral tape job of similar length was seen in a photo so use of handle tape is not uncommon for Milner. No written markings on either end, but a now only barely visible square on the knob may be residue from a now removed tape section with Milner’s uniform number. This was seen in an image from the 1979 World Series, though World Series use is not implied or expected.
