Original Jack Corbett Hollywood base was used on April 13, 2004 in the Anaheim Angels 2004 season home opener against the Seattle Mariners. Anaheim won the game 7-5. Scot Shields got the win for the Angels. Rafael Soriano took the loss for Seattle.
Edgar Martinez hit his 1st home run of the season in the 1st inning. Vladimir Guerrero hit is 3rd home run of the year in the 5th inning and Bengie Molina hit his first of the season in the 6th inning. Guerrero won the 2004 American League MVP with 206 hits, 39 HRs, and 126 RBI. He scored an AL best 124 runs and batted .337.
The base shows nice wear and is MLB Authenticated (MT00398029). The MLB hologram is located on the underside of the base on the rubber. A hole has been drilled through the base and into one of the metal strips. Base has a very nice Opening Day Logo depicted on front.
