Rawlings model JM7 was used during the 2008 season as a member of the Minnesota Twins. The bat shows evidence of outstanding use. There are numerous ball marks, seam impressions, and ink transfers visible on the right and back barrel surfaces. Some slight grain swelling from repeated contact is also present on the right barrel and there are many cleat marks and scuffs scattered on the front, right, and left barrel surfaces with many cleat marks clustered on the back barrel. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and cracks at the mid-handle and just below the center label. The knob is stamped with the model number (JM7), the batch code (179), and the year code (08). Typical Rawlings weight marking on the knob reads “32 Mauer” in in blue pen. Mauer has signed the sweet spot in blue marker.
