Description
Marucci model EN9 was used by Eduardo Nunez with the Minnesota Twins during the 2016 season. The bat shows tremendous use with a handle crack.
Numerous ball marks, seam impressions, and ink transfers are visible on the left and back barrel surfaces. Some of the finish has begun to crack from repeated contact on the backside of the barrel. Additionally, there are many cleat marks and scuffs covering all barrel surfaces toward the end of the barrel. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar and a crack that runs approximately 14″ from near the knob all the up toward the center label. The pine tar is especially heavy just below the center label but there is some transfer on the lower handle as well. The knob is stamped with the date of production (04/20/16), his number 6, and digits for the length & weight (3/5 /1/5) to signify 33 1/2″ in length and 31 1/2 ounces weight.
The bat is MLB authenticated (JB023575). Per hologram info, it was cracked on June 12, 2016 against the Boston Red Sox. Nunez hit 3 HRs in two games on 6/5 and 6/7.
