Description
Louisville Slugger model C271 was used by Bret Boone with the Cincinnati Reds between 1995 and 1997. The bat shows excellent use and is not cracked. Numerous ball marks and seam impressions are visible on the left barrel surface and there is some grain swelling and minor separation from repeated contact. Unfortunately the barrel shows three tape marks so it is presumed this was done for BP use to limit the amount of grain separation. The handle has traces of pine tar and Boone’s characteristic tape appears to have been removed. His #29 is written on both ends in black marker.
