Description
Louisville Slugger model C243 was used by Jeff Branson with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1995 season. The bat shows tremendous use and it is not cracked. Many ball marks, light surface marks, and ink transfers are visible on the right, left, and back barrel surfaces. The right barrel has some grain swelling from repeated contact. Unfortunately many of the ball marks are dimpled marks which is a huge indication of use in a batting cage. it is possible that the bat saw some game action as well, but the majority of the use on the barrel is either from cage work or batting practice. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and it is not cracked. The knob is marked in black with the model number (C243), Branson’s #20, and the length (35). Branson’s #20 is also written on the barrel end in black.
