Description
Louisville Slugger model P116 was used by Marty Cordova with the Minnesota Twins in 1996 or 1997. The bat shows excellent use with a handle crack. Many ball marks, deeply embedded seam impressions, and ink transfers are visible on the left and back barrel surfaces. A few cleat marks are also present. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar applied more heavily at the mid-handle. Upper handle application is significantly lighter. There is an 11″ displaced crack at the mid-handle.
Cordova’s #40 (x2) along with this initials (MC) are marked on the knob. These types of markings, as unique as they are, are very specific to Cordova. His #40 is also done in black on the barrel end in a similarly unique style.
