Description
Louisville Slugger model S2 was used by Greg Gagne with the Minnesota Twins between 1987 an 1989. The bat shows heavy use and has a split in the barrel. The barrel was taped for BP and it is believed that a good portion of the use on the bat was derived from batting practice use. However, the barrel does show several ball marks and numerous seam impressions so I feel confident that the bat started out as a gamer before being put into service in BP. Ball marks and seam impressions are visible on both the right and left barrel surfaces. There is some swelling and separation from repeated contact and tape marks are visible on the barrel. The handle has a very light coat of pine tar and is not cracked. Gagne’s #7 is written on the knob in white. Nothing is written on the barrel end.
Gagne was a member of both the 1987 and 1991 World Series championship Minnesota Twins teams. Bat is signed by Gagne in silver on the front barrel but the signature is heavily worn.
