Rawlings model JC90 was used by Willie Greene with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1998 season. The bat shows excellent use with a handle crack. Many ball marks and light seam impressions are visible on the right, left, and back barrel surfaces. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and a crack that lays fairly flat. The lower portion of the handle is taped for grip. The knob is stamped with the model number (JC90), batch code (576), and year code (98) for 1998. Remnants of silver remain on the knob from a uniform number that has since been worn away. Greene’s #12 is written in silver on the barrel end.
The bat is accompanied by a letter from the Cincinnati Reds Gift Shop, but the letter has the purchase date of 10/20/97. I presume the purchase date was actually 10/20/98.
