Description

Louisville Slugger model T141 was used by Tim Hulett with the Chicago White Sox between 1983 and 1985. Given his limited playing time in 1983 and 1984 there’s a good chance this is a 1985 rookie bat. The bat shows excellent use with a handle crack.

Numerous ball marks, light seam impressions, and rack marks are visible on the right and left barrel surfaces. The right barrel has some minor swelling and light separation from repeated contact. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and a crack at the mid-handle area that is slightly splintered. Hulett’s #32 is written on the knob in black marker. Nothing is written on the barrel end.

Hulett was drafted in the 1978 Major League Baseball Draft out of Lanphier High School but did not sign. Hulett played for the South Florida Bulls baseball team in 1979 before transferring to Miami Dade College’s North Campus.

Hulett was picked in the secondary phase of the 1980 free agent draft by the Chicago White Sox and signed in June 1980. He made it to the major leagues with the White Sox in 1983, was traded to the Montreal Expos organization in 1988, and played in the major leagues with the Baltimore Orioles and St. Louis Cardinals before retiring in 1995.
