Description
Louisville Slugger model R161 was used by Kent Mercker with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1997 season. The bat shows tremendous use and is not cracked. Many ball marks, seam impressions, and ink transfers are visible on the right and back barrel surfaces. Numerous dents and cleat marks are also present. A section from the back of the barrel appears to have come loose and has been secured. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and is not cracked. The knob has the model number (R161), his #38, and the length (34) written in black marker. The barrel end has the same information. End markings are also written in black but they are quite worn.
