Description
Louisville Slugger model T141 was used by Doug Mientkiewicz during his 1999 rookie season with the Minnesota Twins. The bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Many ball marks, seam impressions, and ink transfers are visible on the front, right, left, and back barrel surfaces. The left barrel has some grain swelling from repeated contact. Several cleat marks are visible on the back barrel.
The upper handle has a moderate to heavy coat of pine tar. Mid-handle crack runs approximately 10″-12″ in length. The lower handle has a wrap of athletic tape for grip.
Mientkiewicz’s #25 is written on the knob in silver. A name is written over it in black marker, but I’m unable to make it out. I don’t believe this name is related to any additional player usage. Nothing is written on the barrel end.
Doug has signed the barrel in black marker. Mientkiewicz wore #25 only in 1999 and 2000 with the Twins.
