Description
Cooper model P72 was used by Hall of Famer Ivan Rodriguez with the Texas Rangers between 1993 and 1995. The bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack.
Many ball marks, seam impressions, and ink transfers are visible on the right, left, and back barrels surfaces. Grain swelling from repeated contact is present on both the right and left barrel hitting surfaces and there is slight separation on the left barrel. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar and a crack at the mid-handle. The knob is factory stamped with the length (34″) and weight (33 OZ). Pudge’s #7 is written on both ends in black marker. Also marked on the knob is another marking that I presume to either be the length & weight or possibly a representation of the weight. I did witness this additional marking on a bat Rodriguez was using in a photo. The knob also has a small wrap of athletic tape around the outside of the knob.
