Description
This New Era size 7 1/8 hat was worn by Pokey Reese with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1998 season. The hat shows tremendous wear with staining throughout the sweatband and some pilling to the front sweatband. Sweat stains are visible on the sides of the crown and there is some discoloration of the underside of the brim. Reese’s #3 is written inside a diamond in blue under the brim along with the letters “NLM” which are his children’s initials. Below the initials are the numbers “661” which I believe are their respective ages at the time the hat was worn. Also written below that is “LUV”.
