Description
Louisville Slugger model R205 was used by Pete Schourek with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1995 season. The bat shows tremendous use with a secured handle crack. Many ball marks and seam impressions are visible on the right and back barrel surfaces and there is some slight grain swelling from repeated contact. The handle really has no pine tar to speak of but the lower portion has been criss-cross taped for grip. The tape is stained from use. A secured h-crack is present at the mid-handle area. The knob has the model number (R205) and Schourek’s #46 written in thin gold pen. The barrel end has the same information as the knob, but also includes the length. (34.5). It is likely the length was included on the knob as well and is just no longer visible.
The bat is accompanied by a letter from the Cincinnati Reds Gift Shop dated 11/2/95.
