Louisville Slugger model G157 was used by Gary Templeton with the San Diego Padres during the 1990 season. The bat shows heavy use with extreme grain swelling and deadwood on the right, left, and back barrel surfaces. Some of the deadwood on the back barrel could be from dry conditions as much as from use. There is a split in the barrel that runs through the center label. Many ball marks and ink transfers are present on the front, right, left, and back barrel surfaces. There is a moderate to heavy coat of pine tar on the lower handle and it is not cracked. The knob has the model number (G157), the length & weight (34 1/2 – 32 1/4), and his #1. Model number and uniform number are also written on the barrel end in black.
